Demos

Below you will find a Java Web Start enabled link which we use to access our virtual world. Please feel free to visit and try it out. The virtual world is based on the Open Wonderland platform.

We also have our own Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) which can be accessed via the following link:

Supporting information:
In general any modern PC should be able to run Wonderland. To access the demonstrations you will require the following:

  • A modern PC (1.5Ghz+, 1GB RAM) with hardware-accelerated (such as OpenGL) drivers installed. For Solaris and Linux we strongly recommend Nvidia cards/drivers. In our experience, their drivers are more stable and feature complete than others.
  • An accelerated graphics card. We recommend a graphics card with 256MB of video memory for the best performance, but 128MB should also work. We have tested most heavily using Nvidia graphics cards.
  • Java SE 5 or 6
  • Supported platforms : Linux, Windows, Solaris x86, Mac OSX

  • Wonderland uses a range of ports for various features, including in-world audio and application sharing. Your firewall must be configured to permit traffic on these ports in order for Wonderland features to work correctly. In many cases your firewall may already be configured to allow this traffic, but if you experience problems, such as no audio, or issues with starting shared applications, you should review your firewall's configuration.
