We utilize industry-leading Sun Microsystems hardware and software on a number of our installations. We have been working closely with Sun from the very beginning in helping to develop the Project Wonderland platform, a 100% Java open source toolkit for creating collaborative 3D virtual worlds.

University of Essex
A top 10 research University in the United Kingdom. The University of Essex has a long-standing track record in leading edge research combining the computing and social sciences. The University was one of the first in the UK to run a Bachelor of Science in Computer Games, and has an enviable track record in the field of virtual reality and human factors.

Saint Paul College
Saint Paul College is a Sun Microsystems Center of Excellence which has created a next-generation "mixed-reality" teaching and learning laboratory. It is designed to combine virtual worlds and learners in remote locations with live classroom activities. This laboratory is believed to be the first of its kind at an educational institution in the USA. Working closely with Sun Microsystems, Inc., the College plans to create a "next-generation immersive learning" system, making it possible for learners in more than one location to participate in a rich learning environment.
