Virtual Application Development
Virtual Learning Labs programming consultants are available to work with your development staff on either full life-cycle efforts or custom programming engagements. We specialize in rapid application development and effective knowledge transfer. All of our application development options will be based on an initial consultation to determine the scope of the required work. The type of work can broadly fall into the following categories:

Creation of bespoke 3D objects and models to places within the world

Placement of additional shared applications within world. As the Virtual Learning Appliance is based on the world-leading Wonderland platform from Sun Microsystems, our systems developers can integrate virtually any existing desktop application within your virtual world, including any in-house or custom applications which might be already used within your organization.

Configuration of an access control mechanism to control user access to the Virtual Learning Appliance (eg. by requiring a username and password). For example we can provide a stand-along authentication system based on the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).

Additional software integration services. For example, we can integrate the Virtual Learning Appliance with your existing Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Provision of advanced features within world. For example this can include: the sharing and access to web content within world, such as flickr pictures; controlled access to in-world areas (based on user authentication); 3D content management tools; use of wearable devices to control in-world behavior (eg. movement, emotional response, etc).

Training, orientation and consultancy services
